A New Standard in PAD Therapy
Powerful Compression Therapy with a Lightweight, User-Friendly Design
The prescription-only ARTAIRA™ device delivers high-powered, rapid sequential compression therapy to the foot, ankle, and calf. The device inflates 2 chambers – a Foot Chamber, then a Calf/Ankle Chamber one second later – to 120mmHg in 20-second intervals. Both chambers then deflate, and the cycle is repeated three times per minute.
These repetitive inflation/deflation sequences mimic fast walking, without pain. Venous blood is emptied in the small vessels, allowing arterial blood to more easily flow to the feet and toes. This type of compression therapy could provide long-term blood flow enhancements – and even heal ulcers and potentially prevent amputation.
User-Friendly
Therapy started/stopped with a single press of a button.
Color LCD Screen
User can clearly see a countdown cycle showing when to expect leg compressions, as well as the time remaining in the therapy session.
Pause Function
PAUSE/RESUME button allows therapy to be ceased temporarily if needed, and therapy can be continued in the middle of a session.
Durable Garments
Durable garments are easy to put on and take off. One size fits all.
Usage Tracking
Built-in timer records usage time to measure/ensure patient compliance.
Portable
Compact and portable design for easy transportation.
Solutions for Physicians & Healthcare Professionals
Physicians & Healthcare Professionals: Help Your PAD Patients Help Themselves at Home
Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) therapy has proven to help patients with arterial disorders. For instance, a 2024 Clinical Practice Guideline published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, denotes that, “…In patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia for whom revascularization is not an option, arterial intermittent pneumatic compression devices may be considered to augment wound healing or ameliorate ischemic rest pain.” (See pages 60-62.)
Various other studies have shown that arterial pumps have been efficacious when used on patients battling arterial insufficiency, PAD, and diabetic foot. The key to treatment with these types of devices is rapid compression at high pressures.
The ARTAIRA device has built upon previous technology and provides a user-friendly, cost-effective option for patients to receive treatment for symptoms while in the comfort of their own home. The prescription-only device is recommended by podiatrists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists, and is available through Durable Medical Equipment suppliers.

Frequently Asked Questions
We answer your most common questions about ARTAIRA and how it can help manage PAD and related conditions.
ARTAIRA uses intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) to sequentially compress the foot and calf three times per minute at high pressure. These compression sequences mimic fast walking and improves blood flow to the feet, ankles, and toes, helping to reduce pain, heal ulcers, and potentially prevent amputation.
Patients with symptoms of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), including diabetic foot ulcers and critical limb ischemia, can benefit from ARTAIRA’s non-invasive therapy. Physicians such as vascular specialists and podiatrists recommend arterial pumps for their patients – including those that are not candidates for surgery.
The ARTAIRA device is prescription-only and available through Durable Medical Equipment (DME) suppliers. If you are a physician interested in acquiring a device for your patient, we can connect you with a DME in our wide network. If you are a podiatrist who owns a DME, you may be able to purchase the device and resell it to your patients. If you are a patient looking to obtain a device, we can advise on the documentation needed from your physician and put you in contact with a DME in our network. Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) pumps have been proven to help patients suffering from poor blood flow to the lower extremities. Various studies have shown that IPC pumps focused on promoting arterial blood flow allow patients to walk longer distances without pain and experience various other health benefits. The ARTAIRA device is built upon previous technology, and data is being collected from patients currently using the device.
ARTAIRA is designed for simplicity. It features one-button operation, a clear LCD screen, and comfortable, easy-to-apply garments. Its user-friendly design ensures that patients and caregivers can use it effectively at home.
Yes, ARTAIRA should not be used by individuals with conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure (CHF), or active infections in the treatment area. Always consult a physician before use.
